1. Installation and Change-Out of HVAC equipment

Job description and prices (effictive for the 2010 year)

Scope of Work:

• Remove and dispose old Package Unit,
• Install new rooftop Heil (York) or
• Trane single phase Gas/Electric Package Unit (13 SEER) using existing roof stand or curb;
• Automated economizer is not included;
• Install new gas connector and disconnect box;
• Check all duct connections and seal as necessary.
• Permit and Duct test are not included.

Payments: (for Sacramento Valley)

Heil, York:                
3 ton: $3,500
4 ton: $3,700
5 ton: $4,000

Trane:

To install new roof curb with new supply and return plenums and reattach existing ductwork to them – add $800                   

Warranties:

Manufacturers provide 1 year parts warranty for commercial and
5 or 10 year for residential equipment (13 or 14 SEER).
A Cool Air, Inc. provides 1 and 5 or 10 year labor warranty.

2. Repair of any brand and model.
Estimate is free.

Repair work is paid when it is done. You will know the price before the job is started.
If we failed to fix, even we tried, – you pay nothing.

• We will not replace your equipment when it's fixable 

Price consists of:

Repair fee – $70.00 per hour, plus:

• Replacement of simple parts (limit switch, capacitor, relay, flame sensor, fixing wiring problem, etc.) – $50.00
• Cleaning evaporator coil or blower wheel: $70.00 for each
• Replacement of blower motor – from $270.00
• Replacement of control panel – from $230.00
• Charging a/c system with freon – $30.00 per lb.
• Travel fee (if more than ½ hour one way) – $70.00 per hour

3. Service (Maintenance, Tune-up)

General Checklist:

·  Check refrigerant charge: low freon charge increases utility bill;
·  Inspect refrigerant piping for damage or leaks;
·  Check and clean condenser coil;
·  Check evaporator coil: layer of the dust reduces air flow and efficiency;
·  Check the blower wheel: dust building up on the curved blades of the blower wheel can cause vibration;
·  Inspect drain lines for proper drainage and leaks;
·  Check all electrical components and controls to make sure they're working properly;
·  Check amp draw on compressor and blower motor;
·  Check temperature difference of supply and return air (16–22 degrees of F);
·  Check, clean, and/or replace filters. (Filter price is not included)

Additional work:  (when necessary)

·  Clean evaporator coil or blower wheel: $130.00 for each
·  Charging the system with freon: $30.00 per lb.

• Travel fee (if more than ½ hour one way) – $70.00 per hour
